So today’s plastic free post is batch cooking!
I am lucky enough to have the space for two freezers so once a month I meal plan and cook as much as possible.
This is really helpful for us as we have to go round after school activities, shift work, feeding my gluten free mum, my husband eats some meat, myself and the kids are vegetarian and I’m feeding a dairy allergic baby!!!
So it can be complicated.
I have found batch cooking means I can buy bigger packs of things to reduce packaging and there’s so much less waste during our weeks.
It’s not perfect, I could do the shop to contain less plastic and currently I reuse plastic boxes for storage and cling film for pizzas. Love to hear your freezer storage solutions!
And yes I am running 5 slow cookers 😂😂😂
